Iron Man didn’t make his anti-Magneto suit because he was planning to fight Magneto, but because he is quite literally prepared for anything. While this suit alone proves that Magneto would never simply be able to crush Iron Man within his own armor, it also introduces a much larger point regarding Tony Stark as a hero. Iron Man’s suit contains counter magnets, making Magneto powerless to attack the armor. While Magneto's initial appearance is threatening since he is basically royalty in this reality, his powers are immediately neutralized, all thanks to a specific design implemented by Iron Man. After Iron Man defeats his father and saves mutantkind, Magneto personally flies to Iron Man’s location to see who would dare attack mutants in such a potentially detrimental way. While Iron Man fights for freedom against Magneto’s tyrannical rule, he actually fights to save mutants from an extinction-level attack after he uncovers a plot concocted by Hank Pym and his own father, Howard Stark.
In this reality–a world created by Scarlet Witch–Magneto is the unchallenged ruler of the world and mutants are the supreme species while humans are treated as lesser life forms.

In the limited series Iron Man: House of M by Greg Pak and Pat Lee, Tony Stark is an armored gladiator who fights for entertainment, though due to the societal problems of his reality, Stark decides to use his mechanical genius and inherent heroism in the fight for human liberation from their mutant overlords. Related: Iron Man Originally Had Doctor Strange's Most Iconic Power Instead, Stark uses his own originally-designed suits of high-tech armor to give himself the power he needs to stop any villain he comes across with his genius-level intellect granting him the foresight to be prepared for just about every possible scenario. Tony Stark aka Iron Man is a human superhero who doesn’t have any powers. In his effort to establish mutant supremacy by way of widespread terrorist attacks, Magneto uses his Omega-level mutant powers, which include the ability to manipulate metal, control the electromagnetic spectrum, and create force fields around himself–making him both incredibly dangerous offensively and nearly untouchable defensively. Upon his debut, Erik Magnus Lehnsherr aka Magneto was a mutant extremist who worked tirelessly to usurp humanity’s grip on the world so that mutants could rise to power and become the ruling species on Earth.
However, that seemingly obvious outcome couldn’t be further from what would actually happen if Magneto and Iron Man fought, and Iron Man’s anti-mutant suit proves why. Add a complication equal to your Shrinking asset to an opposing dice pool to gain 1 PP/step up the lowest die in the doom pool or add a D6 doom die.Even though their paths rarely cross, it seems like a no-brainer that in a fight between Iron Man and Magneto, Tony Stark would be easily defeated since Magneto's mastery of magnetism would allow the mutant villain to crumple up Iron Man into a ball of twisted metal and mutilated flesh. Activate an opportunity to recover that power.
Shutdown an Ant-Man Suit power to gain 1 PP/step up the lowest die in the doom pool or add a D6 doom die. Step back each Ant-Man Suit power die in that pool once for each die beyond the first. Add more than one Ant-Man Suit power die to a pool. When using Insect Control to create an asset or complication, add a D6 and step up your effect die. Spend 1 PP/a doom die to ignore stress, trauma, or complications from airborne poisons, -toxins, or lack of breathable air. The Ant-Man suit also incorporates a version of Hank Pym's famous cybernetic helmet, enabling the wearer to communicate with ants through transmission and reception of electropsionic signals.īio-Electric Blast D8, Comm D6, Enhanced Senses D8, Insect Control D6, Shrinking D10 Fantastic gave Hank the material or if Hank discovered the process to make unstable molecules himself. The suit is composed of fabric and parts made from unstable molecules, thus changing in size with its wearer.
The suit releases a gas containing the Pym Particles, which in turn would interact with the electrical impulses of the wearer's brain, creating an organism-wide "reducing field." Thus activated, the field reduces the entire body of the user at a uniform rate to the smaller size he desires. The Ant-Man Suit allows its wearer to shrink to the size of an ant, approximately one-half inch in height, by means of the subatomic particles known as the Pym Particles.
